Description
Our BQ2B Metallographic specimen mounting press is a mechanical type machine. By turning the hand-wheel of the machine, a coupling of bevel gear is rotated to drive the screw rod which in turn pushes/pulls the lower die up and down along the mould sleeve.
The thermoset plastic granules together with specimen being mounted is formed under heated conditions. During this process the pressure is self-adjusted by a spring fixed inside the machine. A signal light is used to indicate the pressure level. The mounting press is equipped with a PID digital temperature controller to establish real-time temperature meanwhile, the timer is equipped to realize the semi-automation of sample – making, while obviously increasing working efficiency.
For each specimen-mounting, 8-10 minutes is enough and a mirror like specimen can be acquired.

Metallographic Specimen Mounting Machine
Description
This automatic mounting press is used to inlay small specimens, specimens in irregular shapes, or specimens which are not easy to take up, it is the preceding process before grinding and polishing metallurgical or rock specimens. The inlaying operation serves to facilitate the grinding and polishing operations of the specimens and the routine observation of the composition of the material under the metallurgical microscope.
The machine is equipped with built-in water cooling system and it is heated, and intensified with pressure automatically. After the formation of the specimen under pressure, it stops the operation and discharges the pressure also in an automatic way. With another press of the knob, the machine automatically turns up the specimen, which may be taken away. Note: It is only for the hot solid materials (such as urea-formaldehyde molding powder and Bakelite powder) with the temperature automatically regulated and controlled.
It is the ideal specimen preparing instrument for using in factories, scientific research institutes and laboratories of colleges.
